Sample Answer:

Environmental problems have indeed become a pressing global issue that is affecting the quality of life in modern societies. In addressing these issues, it is crucial to consider whether a global or individual country approach would be more effective in producing better results.

Firstly, taking a global approach to addressing environmental problems can be beneficial in several ways. By working together on a global scale, countries can share resources, knowledge, and technology to tackle environmental issues more effectively. Additionally, a global effort can lead to the development of international agreements and policies that can hold all nations accountable for their environmental impact. This can help in creating a unified front against environmental degradation and climate change, which are issues that do not recognize national borders.

On the other hand, addressing environmental problems at an individual country level also has its merits. Each country has its unique environmental challenges and priorities, and a tailored approach can allow for more specific and targeted solutions. Furthermore, individual countries may have the autonomy to implement policies and regulations that are best suited to their own environmental needs, without being held back by the bureaucracy of international negotiations.

In my opinion, while both approaches have their advantages, a global effort is crucial in effectively addressing environmental problems. The interconnected nature of environmental issues means that they cannot be effectively tackled in isolation. Climate change, air and water pollution, deforestation, and loss of biodiversity are all issues that require a coordinated and collaborative effort from all nations.

In conclusion, environmental problems are a global challenge that requires a global response. While individual countries can and should take steps to address their specific environmental concerns, a unified global approach is essential in producing better results in the fight against environmental degradation and climate change. Only through collective action can we hope to preserve the planet for future generations.
